...ACCUMULATING SNOWFALL ACROSS THE HIGHER NORTH CAROLINA
MOUNTAIN ELEVATIONS TODAY...
.A low pressure system will cross the region today through
tonight. Cool and moist westerly flow will persist and produce
periods of snow showers across the North Carolina mountains,
especially near the Tennessee border. This snow will create slick
roadways and potentially hazardous driving conditions. Winds will
also become quite gusty at these elevations Saturday night.

SUNDAY ABOVE 3500 FEET...
* WHAT...Snow expected. Additional snow accumulations of up to 3
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of western North Carolina.
* WHEN...Until 7 AM EST Sunday.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions.
